December 15, 2025 by Kevin Rogers in Anthony Freeman, New Song Church, Religious Journalism, Street Ministry Worker, Urban Ministry

Anthony Freeman is an urban missionary in New Orleans, Louisiana. From his early days planting All Nations Fellowship, he became the founder of Bridges Christian College & Seminary, an affordable online Bible College with an incredible growth.

As a way to further expose students to ministry needs and opportunities, be started Compassion Corps International. Every year he takes teams on the road on short term mission exposure trips. Anthony is also part of Mission Advancement at Assemblies of God U.S. Missions.

This fall he brought a team of students for mission exposure to New Song Church in Windsor where I pastor.

The Great Reset Of Mission In The City

September 01, 2021 by Kevin Rogers in Canada, Christianity, Kevin Rogers, PAOC, Religion & Spirituality, Urban Ministry

Earlier this summer I hosted a webinar with Steve Pike entitled ‘The Great Reset of Mission in the City’. Canadian urban leaders attended as we talked about 21st century realities of making disciples in our urban context.

Steve Pike has been at the forefront of church planting for thirty years. He served as founding director of Church Multiplication Network (CMN) for the Assemblies of God (USA) denomination.

Seeing a need for more church plants in cities, he founded Urban Islands Project, which exists to “increase the presence of the Church in the Urban O.”

He’s released a book entitled ‘Next Wave: Discovering the 21st Century Church’.

21st Century Urban Churches (Steve Pike interview)

May 01, 2021 by Kevin Rogers in Canada, Christianity, Kevin Rogers, Mission Canada, PAOC, Religion & Spirituality, Urban Ministry

Steve Pike has been at the forefront of church planting for thirty years. He served as founding director of Church Multiplication Network (CMN) for the Assemblies of God (USA) denomination.

Seeing a need for more church plants in cities, he founded Urban Islands Project, which exists to “increase the presence of the Church in the Urban O.” We’ll ask Steve to tell us about the Urban O.

He’s released a book entitled ‘Next Wave: Discovering the 21st Century Church’.

I’ve invited a couple friends into the conversation with Steve Pike.

Brian Egert is the director of Mission Canada, a Spirit-led agency of workers that reach into the gaps of Canadian culture where the church needs to go.

Paul Fraser is the director of the Multiply Network for the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, with a focus on encouraging a movement of church planters in Canada.
